A collaboration with Design Within Reach and Betty Goldberg Interiores for the 15th anniversary of Design House in Mexico City. Our theme was the use of copper as a decorative material. We commissioned all of the custom copper pieces to a family of artisans in Santa Clara del Cobre, using traditional artisanship in a contemporary design context. We designed hand-chiseled baseboards and a floor-to-ceiling totem made of hammered copper spheres. The decor and lighting in the living room included pieces from the extensive Design Within Reach catalog, which encompasses over one hundred years of design and exemplifies how mixing decades can generate timeless decor.
